OnSSI and S2 Security Corporation Partner to Develop Integrated IP-Based Video Surveillance and Physical Security Solution

Integrated platform links video to access control alerts and exceptions, allowing for improved response to events and effective investigation

Suffern, NY and Wellesley, MA – December 12, 2006 – On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), the market leader in non-proprietary, open architecture IP-Based Video Surveillance software solutions and S2 Security Corporation, innovator in the development of network-based integrated physical security systems, today announced a strategic partnership that will integrate the OnSSI IP surveillance NVR and Intelligent Video Delivery platforms with the S2 NetBox integrated physical security management system.

With the integrated S2 and OnSSI system, video surveillance will correspond to events detected by a range of physical security devices, including access control, alarm monitoring and temperature monitoring. Because the system will attach video to each unauthorized access attempt or perimeter security breach, it will eliminate the need to search for and match video content to security exceptions. As a result, users will be able to effectively respond to real-time security events and will be able to streamline the investigation of security events after they occur.

"Our partnership with S2 represents a transition in video surveillance, shifting the focus from merely aggregating video content to intelligent events-based detection and video delivery," said Gadi Piran, president and CTO of OnSSI. "We are very proud to be positioned at the forefront of this convergence of technologies, and we see great potential in our partnership with S2."

The integrated IP-based solution will allow users to receive and forward both live and recorded video from an unlimited number of cameras. Users will have the ability to receive video through the S2 NetBox Web browser-based interface as well as define physical security events through the OnSSI NetDVMS client interface and through the NetSwitcher control room video wall management platform. The combined solution will also dramatically increase the situational awareness capabilities of IP video surveillance systems throughout large scale deployments, such as on campuses and multi-site facilities.

"S2 is able to form partnerships such as this because of the open platform on which the S2 NetBox is based," said John L. Moss, president and CEO of S2 Security Corporation. "We developed the S2 NetBox as a system that would enable companies to use our API as a launch pad for further innovation. The OnSSI partnership, along with recently announced physical/logical security systems and remote system monitoring, are just a few of the developments that the S2 NetBox has enabled to date."
