OnSSI to Demonstrate Increased Versatility of Ocularis 5 VMS with Technology Partnerships at ISC West
Integration Partners to be Featured in OnSSI’s Booth
Pearl River, NY (March 31, 2016) – OnSSI will showcase several innovative technology partnerships that further expand the features and functionality of their powerful Ocularis 5 Video Management Software (VMS) at ISC West this year. Visitors to OnSSI’s booth (#13074) will be able to explore the enhanced functionality and benefits enabled by solutions from several of the company’s integration partners.
“By forming technology partnerships with leading industry providers in a variety of categories, we are able to provide Ocularis users with the ability to more efficiently and effectively manage and control their video surveillance and overall security,” said Ken LaMarca, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI. “Recognizing this from the beginning, we have sought out strong partnerships that allow Ocularis to serve as a single intelligent platform for centralizing a wide range of security applications. This will continue as we seek new partnerships that deliver innovative and expanded capabilities.”
Partnerships featured in OnSSI’s booth include:
C2P was founded in 2010 with the sole focus of bringing information from IP-enabled appliances into Video Management Systems. The integration between C2P and OnSSI’s Ocularis provides vital information to assist operators in assessing emerging situations and helps enable them to choose an appropriate course of action. This solution brings video and data together to provide a highly effective utility for security applications in the fields of banking, access control, asset tracking, license plate recognition, point-of-sale and more.
Hitachi Data Systems
Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., provides information technologies, services and solutions that help companies improve IT costs and agility. Their products, services and solutions are trusted by the world’s leading enterprises, including more than 70% of the Fortune 100 and more than 80% of the Fortune Global 100.
The integration between OnSSI Ocularis 5 and Hitachi Visualization Suite (HVS) software and Hitachi Video Management Platform (VMP) provides a public safety solution that supports safer, smarter and more efficient communities through connected intelligence. Hitachi VMP separates storage from compute to give users on-demand access to, and rapid deployment of, video assets. The compatibility between Ocularis 5 and VMP simplifies storage and management of all types of video data.
INEX TECHNOLOGIES’ ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) system integrated with OnSSI’s Ocularis VMS offers an effective and seamless vehicle identification and surveillance solution. The integrated system reads and stores license plates of passing vehicles into the VMS database for investigative use, data analysis, mapping, and sharing with various agencies. This integration enables Ocularis to receive and display vehicle license plates, and to compare license plate data with existing vehicle databases such as BOLO (Be On the Lookout), blacklists and whitelists, stolen vehicles, etc. The system automatically identifies the passing vehicles and alerts the operator. It also allows VMS personnel to search video records by known LP data, which reduces forensics time, enabling a quick and efficient response.
Iomnis Surveillance Solutions is a hardware and software manufacturer that specializes in optimized surveillance server and storage infrastructures. Iomnis hardware is certified with their patented Surveillance Performance Index, or SPI, a unique system for indexing a surveillance solution’s performance potential. Iomnis hardware is optimized in the Design Center Portal, a free suite of cloud-based tools for creating complete surveillance solutions utilizing real products.
This integration is useful to OnSSI customers as the Iomnis ION Series is designed for IP Video Surveillance Solutions and is optimal as an upgrade or replacement for DVRs for small business and retail environments. The ION Series has been designed in conjunction with OnSSI and includes Ocularis 5 Professional, which is pre-loaded once users activate their licenses.
For security and law enforcement professionals who are facing the challenges created by more cameras, higher resolutions, and increasingly complex analytics, Quantum’s surveillance and security solution is an intelligent, scalable storage platform that provides a simple-to-manage foundation which can grow under a single file system, designed specifically for video applications. Quantum’s multi-tiered storage platform provides more total usable capacity for less overall budget, leaving security professionals more to invest in the other tools needed to successfully accomplish their mission of keeping people and property safe.
Together, Quantum and OnSSI are building enterprise video surveillance and physical security solutions that deliver streaming performance and real-time access to data, regardless of whether it’s on disk, tape, or in the cloud.
