OnSSI Delivers New Ocularis Universal Driver for Arecont Vision® Megapixel Cameras
Supports All Current Arecont Vision® Cameras
Anaheim, CA (September 28, 2015) – OnSSI today announced the availability of a new Universal Driver for Arecont Vision’s industry leading line of megapixel imaging solutions to seamlessly integrate with the company’s industry leading Ocularis Video Management Software (VMS) platform. This new Driver allows compatibility with all of Arecont Vision’s current and future camera models, using the same driver, further enhancing the partnered companies’ high performance, cost-efficient video surveillance value proposition.
Because of the architecture and design of the new Universal Driver, integrating even the most advanced multi-sensor Arecont Vision® cameras is a simple plug-and-play operation – no development or extensive set-up process is required. The Ocularis VMS automatically requests resolution and feature data from Arecont Vision® cameras and applies the appropriate video-streaming settings. The remaining setup can be accomplished through the OnSSI interface. The simple set-up process results in significant cost and time savings for integrators and installers.
“Our new Arecont Vision® Universal Driver is a perfect example of how OnSSI’s commitment to developing Ocularis 5 is delivering significant benefits to current and future customers,” said Ken LaMarca, VP of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI. “Ocularis’ open architecture makes integration possible with a wide range of technology partners, as demonstrated by this new integration with Arecont Vision®.”
“As a leader in the VMS space, it is critical that Arecont Vision® megapixel cameras seamlessly integrate with OnSSI’s powerful Ocularis 5 VMS solution,” Jason Schimpf, Director of Sales Operations & Partner Relations, Arecont Vision®. “In addition to providing users with the best possible combination of image acquisition and system management, integrators can expedite installations saving time and reducing overall costs.”
The advanced functionality and compatibility of the Universal Driver for Arecont Vision® megapixel cameras was developed based on SeeTec’s robust video recording engine technologies. It is designed to “future-proof” Arecont Vision’s® camera releases, so that new cameras, using the same driver, will have the same fast integration capability as they are introduced to market. Integrators can be confident that the two offerings will work together without the need for updating device packs, software versions or similar complications to take advantage of the latest camera offerings from Arecont Vision®.
